Bio
Evil Needle was born in 84’ in the city of Berlin Germany.
He grew up fully influenced by 90’s hip hop, the sounds of Wu-Tang in particular were the soundtrack to his childhood.
He was also inspired by artists like Mr Lif, Pharcyde, Bicasso, Hieroglyphics, and many more artists that withheld laidback, easy listening tracks.
From then on Evil Needle hardly listened mainstream music and was inspired by a landfill of meaningful and honest artist of the underground.
In his childhood he was first introduced to beat making by a friend that owned a music software called "Hip Hop eJay", which wasn’t much, but at the time it was fantasizing and it was the trigger to his future in being the amazing artists he is to date.
It's been 10 years since he was first introduced to beat making and he doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
The sound of Evil Needle is one that cannot go unnoticed.
To characterize it into one particular genre would be to underestimate his talent.
He is an artist that creates genuine music that feels good and touches your soul rather than just your ears.
Sometime his tracks are soulful and smooth, other times they are strictly hip hop sounds.
Deep grooves, melodious synthesizers, delicate snares, perfect Chord progressions, and a profound reaction from within listeners is what defines that Needle-Sound, but more importantly ..

I remember discovering Reggie B aka ‘The One man Band’ over on Moovmnt , i was instantly blown away by his Production/Composing Skills.

On a ( sad ) sidenote , his house caught fire last week and the man don’t even have a kitchen anymore ..
We didn’t loose everything but the stuff that is important is gone. We cant get into our home. All we left with was the clothes on our back. We can’t go back to the house right now. ArtOfficial’s new Album is finally out. It’s called “Vitamins & Minerals”. They never disappoints me. Always dope live music. Since the Release of ‘Fist Fights and Foot Races” I’m a huge fan of them.
Miami-based ArtOfficial consists of Danny Perez on keys, Manny Patino on drums, Ralf Valencia on bass, and Keith Cooper on the saxophone, with vocals provided by emcees Newsense and Logics.

What VST's do you use ?
I don't use any VST, as I'm working with Reason since version 2.0.
How long have you been making Beats ?It's been 8 years now since I started making beats.
What hardware do you use ?I use a pair of Fostex PM2-MKII , a built-in Soundcard with ASIO Drivers and a Korg SP250 , that's all.
What kind of Rig do you own ?I7 860@2.8GHz / 8Bg Ram
I've send you 10 mails in a row , why you don't answer ?The more you spam, the less likely you are to get a answer.
But sometimes I simply forget to answer or your demo is simply not what I'm looking for. Don't take it personal.
What Drums do you use ?I use a lot of realistic sounding drums ( Reason Drum Kits Refill for instance ) and layer the hell out of them.
I need to make those sweet chords like you do, how to ?!Start by learning all the theory first, the rest will follow automatically, trust me.
How long have you been playing piano ?I was always a bit more composition based, but only started to try and improve my actual playing 2 years ago.
Any tips where i can start to learn the piano 'self thought' ?www.musictheory.net Nuff said.
Do you do live sets/mixes etc ?No, not at the moment.
Do you Mix and Master everything yourself ?Yes, I do everything myself.
What program and VST do you use to Mix and Master ?I mix and master pretty much every time in Reason, but for a more serious project I send my 2 Track through Izotope Ozone.
